Training for teams from medical universities

This month we held another training, “Implementing projects through understanding people,” for educators of medical universities.

This time the event was attended by teams from Kharkiv National Medical University, Ternopil National Medical University, and Bukovinian State Medical University. During the training, the participants critically evaluated the process and results of their projects. They also received a new portion of management tools for application. The team of each university presented their projects and had an interesting discussion session.

KhNMU projects:

  • KhNMU – international rating.
  • Unified information and educational environment.

TNMU projects:

  • Center for Improvement of Teachers’ Pedagogical Skills.
  • Student space.

Projects of BSMU:

  • Children’s University LIK-ART.
  • Modern simulation technologies / COSMIT.
  • University clinic.
  • A personal account of the BSMU employee.

Coaches Mychailo Wynnyckyj, sociologist and lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and Matviy Khrenov, co-founder of the Ukrainian Healthcare Center (UHC), advisor to the Minister of Health (2018-2020), provided feedback and shared tools for effective management.

Also, the participants had to watch at least four episodes of “Ted Lasso” before the event and analyze practical cases and management decisions used by the main characters of the comedy series. We remind you of the link for viewing —>

And we share a few quotes that were most memorable to the training participants:

  • “Unviable projects should be stopped in time.”
  • “The more types of clients you want to satisfy at the same time, the more dissatisfied feedback you will get.”
  • “Listening is a key management skill. And teamwork is the key to effective problem-solving.”
  • “You need to be able to eat an elephant in parts.”
