The supervision and mentoring course for experienced peer group facilitators is over

In December, we completed a three-month supervision and mentoring course for peer group facilitators who already have experience in conducting meetings.

The request for supervision meetings and skill development, primarily support in difficult emotional situations, was formed at the end of March. After the start of the full-scale invasion, facilitators and participants of the peer groups tried to decide how to continue the meetings, taking into account the displacement of people in Ukraine and abroad, as well as emotional and psychological challenges.

Considering these needs, the Project team, along with educational trainer and facilitator Olha Bershadska, with the participation of peer group facilitators, developed a supervision and mentoring course.

This course allowed 17 participants to learn more about facilitation opportunities, look at their strengths and potential for development, and focus on how to ground themselves and seek support from themselves and their colleagues. According to the participants’ feedback, the skills and approaches learned are valuable for holding peer group meetings and medical practice and interaction with colleagues and patients in various professional situations. We are sure that the success and magic of the course are people who are sincerely willing to learn, support each other, and share their knowledge.
