Our help during the war
The war with the Russian occupiers is still going on. So now it is essential to help the country in all possible ways: by volunteering, supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and working that we know how to do best. Therefore, we will share what the Project managed to do in addition to the planned activities.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, at the initiative and with the consent of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine, we have supported various groups of specialists whose work is crucial during martial law.
We procured the medicines in partnership with the Academy of Family Medicine of Ukraine (AFMU). We delivered almost 6,500 packages of medication to the frontline and occupied cities: Kherson, Melitopol, Berdiansk, Bashtanka, and others. This activity provided access to vital medications for more than 1,000 people, including patients with chronic diseases. So far, we have completed the procurement of pharmaceuticals in partnership with the AFMU, but the available medicines are still gradually being delivered to their destinations.Tourniquets, tactical trauma bandages for first aid, and components of first aid kits were purchased separately. We want to thank Matviy Khrenov for his help. These goods are also gradually and purposefully delivered to different regions of Ukraine in small batches.
We also managed to support our educators from the pilot medical HEIs and healthcare providers who had a request for assistance in internal displacement.
Courageous people stand behind Ukraine. We believe in our victory and are grateful to everyone for continuing to defend Ukraine and Ukrainians at the front and the back. The victory is ours, and we continue to bring it closer. Glory to Ukraine!
