We suggest you spend some time on educational content during the New Year’s holiday if you have a good internet connection.

Our Project is primarily engaged in educational development, so we give New Year’s gifts, of course, that are educational. So what to do during the holidays?

We decided to open access to the lectures from the Summer Club conducted by our Project almost six months ago. The participants highly appreciated these two lectures and asked us to show them to as many people as possible! Why not respond to such a request?

  • #1 Lecture “Post-war reconstruction. How should we think about rebuilding the country?” → https://youtu.be/9ikSpffkus8 by Pavlo Kovtonyuk, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine from 2016 to 2019, co-founder of the Ukrainian Healthcare Center (UHC). Before the lecture, the event participants had to read an extract from the document entitled “Social Insurance and Allied Services” → https://bit.ly/3WPU8tX. Reading the Beveridge Report is an important basis for thinking about the vision of the development and reconstruction of Ukraine after the victory. The document was prepared by a separate committee chaired by MP William Beveridge from May to November 1942, at the height of World War II. The Beveridge Plan became the basis for large-scale reforms in the social sphere in Britain and determined the further development of social security systems around the world. The document also led to the creation of the National Health Service in the UK in 1948.
  • #2 Lecture by Mychailo Wynnyckyj, sociologist, trainer, and lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, who dreamed about Ukraine with the participants in the lecture “Beyond the Barrier of War. Dreams of Ukraine and the World We Will Build” → https://youtu.be/CTKegQFz41M. And we quote an exciting explanation from Mr. Mychailo’s lecture about the Chinese character for the word crisis – 危机. “This character consists of two characters: the one on the left denotes danger, and the one on the right denotes opportunity. For the Chinese, a crisis is a combination of danger and opportunity. Even if we win tomorrow, Ukraine will remain in a large-scale political, economic, and environmental crisis for a long time. Our task is to turn the crisis into an opportunity.”

So, enjoy your viewing!
