We are looking for PHC facilities interested in cooperation with the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development.” We aimed to expand the role of nurses, improve the work of doctor-nurse teams, and improve the quality of healthcare services!

If you want to join the “Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health Care” project, please complete the form:  https://forms.office.com/e/KQUq5bv8Vg

  • The form can be filled out by the head of the PHC facility or by its representative with the approval of the head.
  • Deadline: 22 January, 18:00.
  • We will announce the selection results in early February 2024.

In Ukraine, the potential of a nurse still needs to be fully utilized. This situation is detrimental to nurses, patients, and the healthcare system.

Over the past two years, we have successfully implemented the pilot project “Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health Care” https://mededu.org.ua/advanced-practice/. The results demonstrate positive achievements in the accessibility of patient services and the efficiency of resource use in institutions https://bit.ly/3ROevXx

These are the impressions shared by the heads of primary healthcare facilities who worked with us in 2021-2023:

  •  “We have seen only positive effects. The doctors highly appreciated the skills of the nurses after the training. This made our work together much easier, and there was more trust as the nurse demonstrated increased competencies.”
  • “The nurses now play a more significant role, conducting appointments separately from the doctors and have enhanced clinical and communication skills.”

This experience can be an excellent example for other healthcare facilities. Therefore, we are starting the organizational development path with those partners who have already gone through the expanded role of nurses. The new institutions will be able to learn from the project partners’ experience and develop their organizational culture together under the sign of “learning organizations.”

We look forward to receiving your applications!
