So let us tell you more about the event and its prerequisites, and you book your time in your calendars on December 27 to join the conversation online.
Primary health care in Ukraine has been working under new rules for almost four years, making it possible to realize its potential more fully. The healthcare reform launched in 2018 has created the preconditions for the rapid development of primary healthcare. At the same time, current healthcare challenges, such as an aging population, an increase in the number of patients with chronic diseases, and an increase in the demand for healthcare services in general, require the search for new solutions that will improve the system’s ability to meet the current context.
Redistribution of responsibilities between doctors and nurses, namely the introduction of an expanded role of the nurse, is one of the common strategies to overcome these challenges. It creates more career opportunities for nurses, positively impacts motivation to work, and strengthens the team and trust among health care providers and patients trust in health care workers. Therefore, the accessibility, quality, and efficiency of healthcare services are enhanced.
At the online event, we will present the study’s results —> https://bit.ly/3WB9uSX that describe the current distribution of roles among primary health care providers in Ukraine and contains the results of the analysis of opportunities for expanding the role of the nurse in response to modern health care challenges.
During the online presentation, we will discuss the existence of a window of opportunity to expand the role of the advanced nurse practitioner in primary health care. After all, the idea of redistributing functions and expanding the role of nurses is increasingly being discussed by experts and primary care providers in Ukraine. According to research results, it is gaining the stakeholders’ support.
