We are looking for a Junior Communications Specialist to join our team

Position: Junior Communications Specialist of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development”. 

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine. 

Job Type: Full-time employment. 

Work format: Hybrid. 

Reporting to: the Communications Coordinator.

We are looking for a Junior Communications Specialist to join our communications team. 

This is a communications role focused on content, materials, and day-to-day support for the team’s communications work. It may suit someone at the beginning of their communications career, someone moving into communications from journalism, PR, or a related field, or someone with relevant experience who enjoys steady, well-organized communications work. 

You will support the team in preparing and adapting communication materials, coordinating communication aspects of events, and helping keep our content clear, consistent, and aligned with the Project’s tone of voice. 

DUTIES 

• Support the implementation of communication activities and campaigns already developed by the team. 
• Adapt and prepare texts for the website, event materials, partner publications, and other communication products. 
• Edit and adjust partner texts to match the Project’s tone of voice and communication style. 
• Prepare descriptions and supporting texts for videos and other communication materials. 
• Develop presentations based on existing templates. 
• Prepare communication briefs and terms of reference for events and livestreams. 
• Support the communication side of project events, publications, and public activities. 
• Coordinate with colleagues and contractors on communication-related tasks. 
• Help maintain consistency, clarity, and quality across communication materials. 
• Support additional communication activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Previous professional experience in communications is not required, but a strong motivation to learn and develop in the field is essential. 
• Good writing and editing skills, with the ability to work confidently with texts. 
• Ability to prepare presentations and work with structured communication materials. 
• Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to work. 
• Readiness to work with feedback and revise materials carefully. 
• Understanding of or genuine interest in healthcare, education, public sector reform, international technical assistance, or social impact communication. 
• Experience in SMM, PR, journalism, or related fields will be an advantage. 
• English writing and spoken proficiency required at the level of B1 or higher.
