On 4 September 2023, representatives of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) visited the Andrey Krupynskyi Lviv Medical Academy with a mission.

The representatives visited the simulation centre and talked to the institution’s administration. The mission was interested to know how healthcare initiatives have been adapted to the war and the forecasts for future healthcare education development. They also wanted to hear about the ongoing implementation of Phase II of the project, which has just begun, and ideas for scaling up the achievements of Phase I.

“This opportunity to communicate and dive deeply into the healthcare sector was surprisingly useful. I believe that such live meetings will help my colleagues at SDC headquarters. After all, it will be easier for them to have an advocacy position on healthcare in Ukraine,” said one of the SDC mission representatives.

“We have done a lot of work with the Lviv Medical Academy. And it is always especially gratifying when we see progress and hear positive feedback from ourselves and our pilot institutions. Even in the most difficult time for our country, we continue to work for the development of medical education in the country and the sake of our future,” summarises the mission Tetiana Chernysh, Head of the Implementation Office of the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Medical Education Development.”
