We have recently announced the launch of the online course “Simulation Approaches in Medical Education: International Experience” —> https://cutt.ly/G8PDOLy.

We were impressed by the interest in this course and the activity of the participants! Since the launch of the course, 296 students have already registered, and almost 40 of them have already received their certificates of completion. If you are also interested in professional development, please register because training is always in demand!

During the course, you will watch video lectures, have a lot of high-quality and exciting reading materials, and complete tasks to test your understanding of the materials. At the end of the course, you will write a final essay, which the course coordinators will evaluate.

You will also learn much about simulation-based education tools: debriefing, creating a simulation scenario, and creating checklists and evaluation schedules. You will learn all about the role of simulation in medical education, see how a simulation center is managed, and learn about the content of the SESAM 2022 conference.

The course designers have put much effort into making all the materials meaningful and the tasks interesting and interactive. In addition, a notebook with the main slides of each lecture has been developed for easy note-taking and navigation.

While you are still thinking about whether to take the course (we hope you are registering right now), we will share some feedback from some of the course participants:

“The course is very well designed. It enriches the experience of teachers with new methods, approaches, and techniques for teaching students. All the speakers are professionals, the lectures contain interesting, structured material, and the assignments and tests consolidate knowledge. A lot of additional literature is used; there are references to modern sources, symposia, and conferences. The notebook is well-formed. In particular, it helps to highlight the main points, return to the material covered, and recall important things.”

  • “The course provides useful information, and most importantly, it is presented interestingly. It is clear, high-quality, and diverse. All lecturers are professional and competent. The lectures by Vsevolod Perelman, Ruta Nadishauskienė, Dmitry Konkov, Irina Leshchina, Yulia Volkova, and other experts were impressive and useful.”
  • “I listened to the course in one breath. It changed my vision and behavior. The information I received is completely new to me. I had heard from my colleagues about the work of the simulation center at our university, but I had yet to learn how it works in reality. The course allowed me to identify and adopt such basic topics as the sequence of creating scenarios, checklists, debriefing, the work of the flipped classroom, and the list goes on. All the information in the course is an invaluable experience.”
  • “The most interesting thing I got from this course was an understanding of how to implement the development of teamwork skills in teaching. The most memorable topics were those from the adult learning theory: the Kolb cycle and learning through frame disclosure and behavior change became clear. I have been using the “flipped classroom” method in my practice for a long time, but it is perceived differently in the light of blended learning (which I learned about in the course). So there is room for improvement!”

Have we convinced you to register for the course? Then we remind you again of the link and look forward to seeing you: https://cutt.ly/G8PDOLy.
