Join the study of the educational environment of your university 

We are addressing representatives of medical and nursing education institutions, universities with medical programs, and faculties that are not pilot institutions of our project! 

 Do you know how students assess the educational environment of your institution? How do they perceive the social component and teachers? How do they evaluate the learning process? And how do they feel about family medicine?  

 Answers to these questions require separate research.   

That is why we invite you to agree to conduct such an anonymous survey in your institution!  

 Please send us a letter signed by the rector or vice-rector from your institution with a request to conduct research to the mailbox: events@mededu.org.ua.  

 Deadline: December 10, 2023.  

 Suppose you want to develop your institution based on a proper analysis of the situation, considering the opinions of students and teachers. In that case, this is a unique chance to get such a base. For our project, this is an opportunity to plan targeted educational activities. This is a pure win-win strategy. 

 We will provide the materials, conduct the study at the institution, and analyze the results. The survey results will be published in an anonymized form: HEI 1, HEI 2, HEI 3, etc. A detailed analysis of the results of each individual institution will be sent personally to the institution’s representatives.  

 Remember that a higher education institution exists and functions for the sake of the student. To create an educational environment where these students can best acquire knowledge, develop skills, and shape their professional attitudes.

  Soon, we will publish a report on the results of the 2023 study. Such studies allow us to identify priority areas for the development of institutions and improvement of medical education both at the level of higher education institutions and in a broader context. 

Earlier, we talked about assessing the educational environment of medical HEIs in undergraduate and postgraduate education, which is conducted by our project using the British DREEM and PHEEM methodology adapted to the Ukrainian context. It also assesses the perception of students and teachers of family medicine at medical universities. With the assistance of our project, these studies have already been conducted for: 

 Bukovinian State Medical University,  

• Zhytomyr Medical Institute,  
• Ternopil Gorbachevsky National Medical University  
• Bogomolets National Medical University,  
• Uzhhorod National University,  
• Kharkiv National Medical University, 
• Rivne Medical Academy,  
• Andrey Krupinsky Lviv Medical Academy.  

 Shortly, we also plan to conduct these studies among the pilot institutions that have joined Phase II of the project:  

 Zaporizhzhia State University of Medicine and Pharmacy,  

• Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University,  
• Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University,  
• Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University,  
• Sumy State University.
