The seventh Azov School of Family Medicine took place in June this year.
It was an intensive training course for first-aid medical workers. The participants gained up-to-date knowledge and practical skills. They were motivated to become opinion leaders and change agents in primary care, spread progressive ideas in their own teams, and form a professional initiative community of family medicine specialists.

We selected 40 participants on a competitive basis. All of them are primary care physicians, including family doctors, doctors, pediatricians, therapists, nurses, and primary care interns. Do you know how many applications we received? 660! That is, 16 people applied for the 1st place.

Guests and speakers
The Azov School of Family Medicine was visited by representatives of the National Health Service of Ukraine, the WHO Office in Ukraine, and the TCL project: Your Family Doctor project, Ukrainian Healthcare Centre (UHC).

The program was intense. We worked intensively from seven in the morning until midnight for three days. The program was designed with the participants’ needs in mind, so the schedule was filled with helpful training and social and educational activities. It did not exhaust the participants but filled them with inspiration. At least that’s what they told us.

For three days, we discussed the best international standards of medical practice, discussed problematic issues in the organization of care, and communicated and exchanged experiences, achievements, and ideas.

Participants gained up-to-date knowledge about breakthrough innovations in family medicine in Ukraine, international experience in monitoring primary care, practiced BLS, AED, primary surgical wound management, and ultrasound skills with professional trainers, discussed quality indicators of healthcare services, new services for communities affected by the war, etc.

As we spent intense days together, there was also a place for singing because Chervona Ruta unites everyone.
