Webinar “SESAM 2025: Experiences that Inspire Change”

On September 29, 2025, the Ukrainian-Swiss project «Medical Education Development», in cooperation with participants of the SESAM 2025 conference, will host a webinar “SESAM 2025: Experiences that Inspire Change”.

Speakers will share key ideas and practices of simulation-based learning that can already reshape approaches to medical education in Ukraine and demonstrate how they can be integrated into the teaching process.

Key topics of the webinar:

• Major trends and ideas from SESAM 2025: what should Ukrainian educators know?
• What innovative methods — from working with standardized patients to using VR and AI — are being introduced worldwide?
• How does simulation-based training help develop not only clinical skills but also empathy, social sensitivity, and emotional intelligence?
• How can modern approaches to simulation-based learning be integrated into the curricula of Ukrainian medical universities?
• What experiences of Ukrainian universities were presented on the international stage?
• Which solutions from international conferences are ready to be implemented in Ukrainian realities today?

SESAM (Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine) is an annual international conference dedicated to advancing medical simulation. The conference brings together educators, physicians, and researchers from different countries to discuss cutting-edge approaches in training, improving patient safety, and implementing innovative simulation technologies in healthcare. Each year, the conference is held in a different European city and is the largest event in its field. This year, SESAM was held in June in Valencia.
