School of Digitalization in Medical Education

From 23 to 24 January 2025, Kyiv will host the School of Digitalization in Medical Education — a unique platform for sharing experiences and developing new approaches to the digitalization of educational processes in Ukraine’s medical schools.
The School aims to integrate modern digital technologies into the educational processes of medical schools. Its goal is to help educators, administrators, and education managers use digital tools more effectively.
Key topics to be discussed:
- Electronic allocation to internship programs.
- Universities’ experience in digitalization.
- Soft skills for implementing digital solutions
- Fundamentals of personal cyber hygiene
- Digitalization and digital transformation in healthcare
- Challenges of digital transformation in higher education
- How to communicate digital reforms and projects
The event will feature experts in education digitalization, other professionals involved in the process, and representatives of higher education institutions that have successfully implemented digital technologies in their educational processes. They will share their success stories and inspire colleagues from other universities to adopt digital approaches in education.
Among the speakers:
- Serhii Ubohov, head of the department of medical personnel, education, and science at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine
- Illia Bachurin, former head of product at IT Foundation for education, social psychologist, and trainer
- Trokhym Babych, IT specialist, lecturer at the faculty of informatics, National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”
- Vadym Terentiuk, Ph.D. in medicine, associate professor at the department of healthcare management, Bogomolets National Medical University, head of the E-health development department at the “Electronic health” state enterprise, and secretary of the interdepartmental working group of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on telemedicine development
- Snizhana Rakcheieva, press secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister for innovations, education, science, and technology development — Minister of digital transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov
How to join the School?
This year, participation is by invitation only for representatives of pilot higher medical education institutions collaborating with the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Medical Education Development.” Therefore, no open call for participation is available. However, we welcome everyone to join our online streams and ask questions in the comments.
