You have to understand both. Being empathetic is something, a talent and a skill that you have learned, and you have to find a balance&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;In Ukraine, the university is separate from the hospital. The first thing to be done is to combine the university with a hospital, to integrate education at the bedside with theoretical teaching at university. A university hospital is a campus.&#8217;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;If you get an academic career, you have to work a little bit more than somebody else&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Teaching attitudes, teaching empathy, are two things. One is a model and the other thing is skills&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;The important thing is not to know everything. The important thing is to know as much as possible and to know where your competencies end&#8217;.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;The positive attitude towards your patient is not smiling but to have empathy and to have a belief in what he says, that you want to understand when he says. A relation that you need is you have to find out how much does the patient want to know, how much information does he need?
