{"id":196,"date":"2020-02-01T16:51:21","date_gmt":"2020-02-01T13:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=196"},"modified":"2023-10-02T09:39:13","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T06:39:13","slug":"peer-groups-for-primary-health-care-providers-in-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/en\/news\/peer-groups-for-primary-health-care-providers-in-ukraine\/","title":{"rendered":"Peer groups for primary health care providers in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ukrainian-Swiss project \u201cMedical Education Development\u201d announces call for individual applications from those who are willing to obtain a new professional role of facilitator \u2013 promoter of Peer groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We invite family doctors, nurses, health care facility managers in the pilot regions of the project: Zhytomyr, Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Kharkiv oblasts to carefully read the requirements and apply. Application forms are collected until 25 February 2020. Only selected participants will be invited to participate in the training, as well as to facilitate\u00a0 peer groups and join the supervision. The selection results will be announced by March 4, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first training of the facilitators will be held on March 31-April 2, 2020 in Kyiv, the second \u2014 in the autumn of 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the Peer groups?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are regular meetings with doctors or nurses or health care managers with colleagues to facilitate the understanding of complex treatment cases, to share experience in managing a healthcare facility, to discuss the accomplishments, mistakes, and features of professional life that assures professional development, to strengthen horizontal relationships with those who have similar professional activities, or in other words, build professional relationships with colleagues based on trust.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are the benefits of participation in Peer groups?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Points of continuing professional development and actual continuing professional development<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge and experience by participating in peer group meetings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to learn and develop new skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New acquaintances with active, motivated colleagues, nurses , or health care managers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that this is not only an application to participate in the training, but an application to gain the skills of the Peer group facilitator and further work with the support of the project in the implementation of the Peer groups in your region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are the requirements for candidates for the facilitator of Peer groups?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have leadership skills, be proactive and ready to develop innovative approaches<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be motivated and able to motivate others and engage them in events<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be able to work in a team, hear the opinions of others and respect colleagues<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must not be afraid to make timely and informed decisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be able to resolve conflict situations, seek consensus and take a neutral position<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must have basic communication skills and strive to develop them further<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be able to plan time and use it properly<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must understand the importance of training, continuing professional development and by personal experience demonstrate this commitment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An understanding of the principles of group organization and group dynamics as well as the ability to express empathy are also desirable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If this is about you, fill out the application form at: <a href=\"https:\/\/cutt.ly\/jrANSfh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/cutt.ly\/jrANSfh<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":[],"class_list":["post-196","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news\/196","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/news"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/news"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mededu.org.ua\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=196"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
