On 26 February, webinar “What Has Changed in the Rules for Accumulating CPD Points, and How Does This Affect the Certification of Healthcare Professionals?’ took place, initiated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Medical Education Development”.
At the webinar, Serhii Ubohov, Head of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and Mariia Bomko, Head of the Medical Science Sector within the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science Department of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, spoke about where and how to find accredited CPD activities, how the reimbursement of participation costs works, and how to study while constantly short of time. The webinar was facilitated by project consultant Alla Boiko.
The speakers paid particular attention to the topic of compiling and submitting portfolios: what they should look like, when and where they should be submitted, how points are recorded within them, and how they are verified and signed off. More complex situations were also discussed: what to do if points are insufficient, and what approaches are considered during the period of martial law to ensure the system remains realistic for healthcare professionals while maintaining the logic of the certification requirements.
A recording of the webinar is now available on the Project’s YouTube channel.
In it, you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding CPD scoring and portfolio submission.
